Not knowing how good the internet connection will be at our residence hall in Madrid, I wanted to go ahead and remind everyone that this Thursday (can you believe it?) is the big day. We will be leaving Madrid at about 11:50 *Spain time* with our anticipated arrival time in Chicago at 2:20 PM. Please note that this is approximately the time that the plane will be landing at O'Hare and that we still have to get our luggage and pass through customs before we can exit the security zone. As our departure from Leon is just one day away, the students have already begun to sort through what they brought, what they've bought and are now attempting too pack - so don't be too surprised if you see an extra suitcase when you meet them!
Pictures from around town and our last lunch at Casablanca will be updated shortly. If possible, I will try to update with some pictures from tomorrow night's "show" with the families before our departure. Due to time constraints, the pictures from the bus ride, Toledo and Madrid will be posted post-arrival, but please do not hesitate to contact me via email if you have any questions. Take good care and we will see you soon!

Only in León…

A note from "El equipo"...
Dear Parents, Family and Friends:
It's hard to believe that our time here in beautiful León has almost ended and at this time next week, we will already be on the bus to Madrid. Within our grupos de apoyo (support groups) we will be talking about the possibility of experiencing a bit of "reverse culture shock" and our feelings about the trip back, but we would encourage all of you in your pre-return contact (emails, messaging, Skype, etc.) to try and make sure that the students feel informed about what has been going on during their absence. Apart from missing people back home, several students have commented that they feel very much "out of the loop" in regards to both family and local happenings - stuff they'd like to know before they read about it on Facebook.
Within the next few days, I will be posting some more pictures from our last days on site (the pics from Madrid and Toledo will go up post-arrival in the States) and also confirming student pick-up information for Chicago. Take good care and we will see you soon!
